Meet a Spirit, decide whether to create a personal companion, or explore a work you could make together. Know what happens today, what you deliberately save and what remains a future possibility.
Public trials, account controls and illustrative games have different boundaries. Start with the decision in front of you.

Public trials · no account required
Try before creating
Meet a character and find out whether the encounter interests you.
Can I meet a Spirit without registering?
Yes. The public trials introduce Explorer, Axiom and Yaolin—the characters representing the three launch lineages. Their controls differ: Explorer offers authored motions and service-dependent conversation; Axiom demonstrates crystal gestures; Yaolin has its own body and conversation experience. Start with the trial directory to choose.
The limitA public encounter does not create or save a personal companion. Body rendering depends on your device; generated replies also depend on service availability and usage limits.
What if I cannot use a microphone or interactive 3D?
Explorer accepts a typed message, so a microphone is not needed for its request-and-reply path. Its page also has a recorded model preview when interactive 3D is unavailable. These give you another way to approach the encounter without changing device permissions.
The limitTyping still needs the response service to work. A recorded preview is not interactive 3D, and these fallbacks do not establish camera, microphone or AR support on your device.
An account is a step into deliberate personal creation, not an automatic upgrade of a public encounter.
What changes when I register or sign in?
The personal Explorer entry first asks you to register or sign in with ChatGPT. You can then use its creation controls to choose a name and personality and explicitly save a profile. The current account flow supports one personal Spirit per account; an existing Spirit is not silently replaced when you visit Explorer.
The limitSigning in alone does not create a companion or import a public conversation. It does not give ownership of a shared world or of the underlying character artwork.
Does an account unlock the future worlds shown here?
No. The site connects current web trials with imagined relationship, neighborhood and civilization journeys. Outdoor discovery, persistent shared places and autonomous collaboration belong to the proposed development path. You can read those scenarios now without treating them as delivered capabilities.
The limitRegistration is not a purchase or a promise of access to future features. Roadmap examples are not release-date commitments or automatic progression.
A remembered preference, a chat reply and a choice in an example are different things.
What does my personal Explorer actually save?
Its account controls save the profile you confirm and one fact you deliberately choose to remember. For a personal reply, the saved profile and fact are supplied to OpenAI with the request context. The public Explorer trial does not load this personal profile. This description is specific to the personal Explorer entry.
The limitChats are not automatically saved as memories. A local exercise choice is not an account record, and one saved fact is not autonomous memory of your life. Rely on the save confirmation, not merely on text you have typed.
Open Your saved fact, choose Correct saved fact and review the existing wording. Confirm forgetting it, then edit the unsaved draft and separately save the replacement. If you leave before saving, no fact remains saved. Each step reports confirmation or a failure to confirm; saving or deleting resets this page’s temporary Explorer conversation.
The limitTelling a public character “remember this” does not perform that account action. Deleting this fact does not erase provider copies, other open conversation contexts, your account or published work.
A meaningful choice can teach co-creation before a shared production system exists.
Am I joining a real production when I review a film cut?
“Make the cut” lets you compare prepared scene directions, try a revision, review it and assemble an illustrative credit-and-release brief. The choices operate on the page. They demonstrate decisions that human collaborators and Spirit Agents could eventually work through together.
The limitNo production crew or Agent runs from these choices. The exercise does not submit, save or distribute a film; its choices reset on reload. Example credits do not establish a real contributor agreement.
Do my story choices become official Spirit World canon?
No. The Beacon Register is an original collaborative-novel game example. You can choose an authored scene direction and examine its editorial consequences. The shared-universe idea illustrates how creators might negotiate character goals and continuity; it does not declare company canon.
The limitA selection is not a vote, a submitted manuscript, a saved contribution or a grant of rights. Team writing and publication remain proposals.
The ambition is to make work an audience values. A commercial possibility is not a promised payout.
Could people and Spirit Agents make something worth selling?
That is a proposed game direction alongside collaborative novels: co-produce a film, improve it through review, establish credits and permissions, then consider an audience and possible paid distribution. “The Light We Leave” follows those decisions as a written scenario, including the possibility that a work never finds a buyer.
The limitThe site examples are not a live production marketplace or payment service. A credit, idea or selected cut does not automatically establish ownership, permission to release or income.
The public trials do not require an Aura purchase. Aura is a proposed recognition/value layer explored through examples of useful work and review. It is distinct from money and from rights in a work; the current contribution exercise lets you consider evidence and attribution without awarding a balance.
The limitThere is no Aura payout, conversion rate or ownership transfer in these exercises. Recognition would not guarantee sales or payment, and future commercial terms are not settled here.
